After completing my undergraduate studies in English Literature at Petra Christian University, I tried to get theological study at a seminary in Bandung, West Java. However, it didn’t work well because I had to get married. Then, I began my career as an English private tutor in 2006. Somehow, I was offered the position of part-time English teacher in elementary and junior high schools in west Surabaya. After that, I applied for a job as an English teacher at Petra 1 Christian Senior High School in West Surabaya in 2013. I only taught there for one year because I had an opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at Widya Mandala Catholic University from 2012 to 2014. Then, during my postgraduate studies, I was offered to teach nursing students at Dharma Husada Nursing Academy (in Kediri, East Java) where I taught English for Specific Purpose until 2020.
